PlayStation Suite is an all new initiative that is designed to bring PlayStation titles to Android devices. Whether the service will be launched on the Apple App store is not yet announced and according to popular belief, it will not happen any time soon.

Sony has a great autofocus tracking feature where you tap on a subject in the picture, and the camera then automatically keeps them (or it) in focus no matter where they move. For most people, this will be as advanced as you need to get. However, this feature is not available in 3D mode. To fine-tune 3D focusing, you can use the touchscreen or the control-dial on the front. The touchscreen seemed easier to use, although you can more easily “fine-tune” with the dial on the front.

In conclusion, the device is simple to use and is an impressive deal for the first one of its kind. For those who are not interested in the 3D features, there is always the option of selecting a smaller HD device.  On the other hand, with such an incredible 3D picture, the Sony HDR-TD10 is well worth the 3 pounds of weight.

Just hours after the much awaited re-launch of the PlayStation Network, it suffered a crash. The crash resulted in the turning off of the online service once again. The re-launch has been eagerly awaited by the PSN gaming community as the service went offline after a series of much publicized hacker attacks.

After a month of being offline, the PlayStation Network re-launching has resulted in a massive amount of simultaneous traffic. An announcement made by Sony stated that the sudden crash of the reinstated network is the result of heavy password resets and service demands.

The cyber criminals who managed to breach the security of the PlayStation Network has managed to access users’ private data. The eager gamers were met with a request to reset their passwords to enter the network once again.

For the users who are complaining about the further delays to the reinstating of the PlayStation Network, Sony has sent a further announcement. According to the tweeted statement, the password resets are expected to take some time to clear the ISPs and to reach the emails of the users. Sony requests the users to bear with them a little longer until the whole matter is settled.

However, latest reports claim that the Japanese government has suspended the PSN services from the country until Sony is able to meet their security demands. Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has issued a statement saying that as of may 13, Sony has not shown much promise in exercising of their security measures. It is said that the Japanese government expects preventative methods as well as tighter security before the network is allowed clearance to go online within the country.

As of now, certain parts of the PlayStation Network have been turned off until further notice.

A report published by Juniper Networks, an IT company, has stated that there has been a 400 percent increase in Android malware since the summer of 2010. The information was released via a report titled "Malicious Mobile Threats Report 2010/2011". Juniper Networks further stated that the attention of cyber criminals has now turned to mobile devices.

The makers of Duke Nukem Forever have finally announced a release date for one of the much awaited games. The new release date, which was pushed back from last year, is supposed to be somewhere next month. The Duke Nukem Forever title has been delayed three times since the first announced release date, 10^th June 2010. The retailer for Duke Nukem, GAME has announced another surprise. According to an American news site, Facebook has admitted that they had hired a PR company to host a smear campaign against Google. The campaign was created to bring certain negative tales and speculation about its biggest and strongest rival to public attention.

Burson-Marsteller, the PR company responsible for the campaign to dig up negative news about Google had approached a reputed security blogger Christopher Soghoian to proceed with the plan. The PR company has reportedly requested the blogger to start an investigation on Google’s privacy policy. As a payment for the investigation, he was promised publication opportunities on influential sites such as The Washington Post.

The campaign fell short when Soghoian refused to take part and the emails he received from Burson-Marsteller were published online. One email showed how the PR company attempted to urge the blogger on by telling him that Google was broadcasting people’s lives without permission. Soghoianwas even offered writing assistance to complete the article.

At first, the PR companymanaged to keep the identity of their client undisclosed. But when the evidence was brought to light, Facebook issued a confirmation thatBurston-Marsteller was indeed hired to investigate Google’s social networking and to raise concerns about privacy. According to the statement issued by a spokesperson for the social networking site, Facebook is concerned about the possibility that Googlemay be making inappropriate use of the data they have gathered from Facebook users.

Since the rivalry between Google and Facebook is rather obvious, it is believed that the smear campaign was a bitter attempt of resentment by Facebook. Facebook’s 600 million strong userbase allows companies to sell targeted advertising thus taking a chip out of Google’s advertising revenue. At the moment, rumors state that Google is working on a new kind of social network named Google Circles.

The latest reboot to the Symbian operating system is said to offer better touch screen capabilities than previous attempts. In addition, a portrait QWERTY keyboard and a modified browser that is said to be three times faster than earlier version will also be presented in the package.

The CEO of Nokia, StepehnElop had stated earlier this year that Nokia is yet to provide a smart phone that matches the experience of an Apple iPhone. He had further added that the Finnish Giant has missed quite a few trends in mobile phones along with a considerable amount of time. According to the latest reports, Microsoft has also decided to step in to the 3D gaming arena.  It is believed that Microsoft will be unveiling Xbox 360 with full 3D gaming compatibility at E3 2011. Although sales figures and gamers comments are focused mainly on the disadvantages and complications of 3D gaming, manufacturers seem to be thinking otherwise. Most experts believe that 3D will remain in the spotlight for a while.

A few months ago, Aaron Greenberg from Microsoft has stated that the capability to support 3D is present in the current version of Xbox 360. This is a known fact as Call of Duty Black Ops was able to be played in stereoscopic 3D. According to Greenberg, Microsoft is not concerned whether the demand for 3D gaming actually exists. He said that Microsoft is able to wait until the market starts to show positive response.

At the moment, the PS3 comes with full HDMI 1.4 stereoscopic 3D. According to EuroGamer, the Xbox has higher capability to support 3D than the PS3. According to a CNN report, Twitter has made arrangements to acquire TweetDeck. TweetDeck is a desktop client in use by most of Twitters’ active users. The deal is said to be worth about $40 million. As per the report, a purchase agreement was signed.

Twitter has not yet released news of the deal officially. On the company’s official public relations Twitter account, it was stated that Twitter will not be providing comments on rumors. According to massive speculation among the Internet, the deal has put an end to a tug of war between UberMedia and Twitter. However, in February, a report issued by TechCrunch had stated that TweetDeck was indeed purchased by UberMedia.

According to many tech experts, Twitter has been aggressive in the acquisition and building up a suite of applications. The social media giant purchased Tweetie in 2010 and transformed it in to Twitter for iPhone. Similarly, Summize search engine was purchased in 2008 and it was transformed and released as Twitter search.

Recently, Twitter released an Android app which generally received mixed reviews. Users gave thumbs up for the easy navigation and instant familiarity while giving thumbs down because the app was made available exclusively for Android 2.1 leaving quite a few users behind.

As for the TweetDeck acquisition, back in April, it was announced that the deal will be closed for $50 million. Back then, it was reported that Twitter was discussing the deal in detail. However, the final deal was worth significantly less than the reported amount.

The deal is yet to be officially announced. According to a source with inside information on the matter, the purchase agreement was finalized on the 23^rd of May. As for Twitter’s plans for the acquired desktop client, users are going to have to be patient until official information is released.
