Nokia has come up with its latest innovation to face the highly competitive market of smart phones- the Nokia Lumia 920. It features PureView technology, Carl Zeiss lens, optical image stabilization and PureMotion HD+ display. You produce blur-free videos even when in low light conditions or while on the move. It has a highly sensitive 4.5-inch touch screen to complement high definition color display on your screen with PureMotion.

It provides you with a camera viewfinder to explore a place or city with Nokia City Lens. It employs wireless charging using Qi-compatible chargers so you can charge it while you’re on the go. Save, access, backup and synchronize your files and data on SkyDrive in just one account. You can use Smart Shoot to capture photos and choose the best expression for every person.

It features a polycarbonate monoblock body with zirconium ceramic camera and side keys. It has 130.3 x 70.8 x 10.7 mm dimensions [height x width x thickness]. It weighs 185 grams with a volume of 99 cc. It has a multi-point capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and support for 16,777,216 colors. Display height is 97 mm while the display width covers 58 mm.

Display capabilities include light timeout, polarization filter, ambient light detector, brightness control, orientation sensor, Corning Gorilla Glass, high brightness mode, RGB Stripe, sunlight readability enhancements, pixel density of 332 PPI, luminance of 600 nits, aspect ratio of 15:9, highly sensitive touch, color boosting, IPS, refresh rate of 60Hz and a sculpted 2.5D glass.

Physical keys include camera, power, volume, search, back and Windows start key. Connections supported include micro USB for data connection, micro USB for charging connection, micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth version 3.0, NFC or Near Field Communication, Wi-Fi channel bonding, WLAN IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n and Qi wireless charging.

You can synchronize via Exchange ActiveSync. Internal memory is 1000MB. Mass memory is 32GB. SkyDrive memory offers free 7GB. Data networks supported include 2G EDGE/EGPRS, FDD-LTE 4G, 3G HSUPA, HSPA+ 3G, 2G GSM, 3G HSDPA and 3G WCDMA. It supports WPA2 AES/TKIP, WPA, WEP, PEAP-MSCHAPv2, EAP-SIM and EAP-AKA.

Battery model is BP-4GW with a capacity of 2000 mAh and voltage of 3.7 volts. It is not removable. Standby time in 2G lasts for 460 hours. Talk time in 2G lasts up to 18.6 hours. 3G standby time is 460 hours while talk time is up to 10.8 hours. You can play music for up to 74 hours.

Nokia Lumia 920 is powered by Snapdragon S4 dual core 1.5GHz processor. It enables faster performance and more productivity. The asynchronous technology of the CPU allows it to save power for maximum performance by allowing every core to power up or power down independently. Personal information management features include clock, calendar, calculator, phonebook, reminders, notes, to-do list, social networks on phonebook, wallet and OneNote.

Gaming features include DirectX 11, gyroscope, accelerometer, Xbox-Live Hub and touch user interface. Business applications include freely downloadable Adobe Acrobat and Lync [Corporate IM], Office programs including Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint and SkyDrive for storage and backup of your files and data. It runs on Windows Phone 8 system. Other technologies include Silverlight, XNA, Visual Basic, DirectX, Java Script, XAML and C++.

E-mail and messaging solutions include Yahoo mail, Hotmail, Outlook Mobile, Windows Live, Gmail, Mail for Exchange, Office 365 and Nokia Mail. E-mail protocols supported are IMAP4, POP3 and SMTP. It enables editing and viewing of E-mail attachments, filtering of E-mails, simultaneous multiple E-mail accounts, HTML E-mail, text-to-speech message reader, audio messaging, unified SMS and MMS editor, conversational view on E-mail and automatic resizing of MMS images.

It includes A-GPS, magnetometer, WLAN, Glonass, offline maps, speed limit warnings and turn-by-turn guided voice navigation. It has anti-phishing protection and lost device tracking.
