A Canon Innovation: PowerShot N

Canon comes with a new innovation for its camera technology in the form of PowerShot N. The new design comes with zoom and shutter rings for fast operation, a tilt-type [up to 90⁰] 2.8-inch capacitive touch screen for flexible photography and easy access to features. You can shoot horizontally, diagonally or from high or low angles. The Creative Shot mode captures photos with an artistic touch by using the lighting, color and composition of your original image to create its own 5 unique images for that shot.

DIGIC 5 Image Processor and the 12.1-megapexel CMOS high sensitivity sensor feature the Canon HS System that gives optimum performance in low light settings. The camera has 28-mm wide angle lens and 8x optical zoom. Record your videos with 1080p Full HD quality. Share easily using the built-in WiFi. Connect to your smart phone using the Mobile Device Connect Button.

Share your multimedia to social networks using Canon iMage Gateway. The Canon CameraWindow app lets you upload to PC, Android or iOS devices . Optical Image Stabilizer manages unstable handling of the camera such as hand shaking to avoid blurry photos. It offers up to ISO 6400 for enhanced quality of your images. You can zoom while taking vides. It has a dedicated movie button. Intelligent IS selects from 6 different modes automatically for optimum shooting condition.

The WiFi capability enables real time posting of your images to update your social networks. You can also save them on your online photo album. You only need to register once for the Canon iMage Gateway. It saves devices and accounts that are frequently used so you can connect to them immediately with a simple tap on your touch screen. You can share your images with other PowerShot cameras enabled with WiFi, to your computer and to Wi-Fi compatible printers for printing of your photos.

PowerShot N is a compact 12.1-megapixel digital camera with 4x digital zoom, 8x optical zoom,1/ 2.3-inch CMOS sensor and built-in flash. The focal length of the lens is 5.0 [W] – 40.0 [T] mm [35 mm film equivalent- 28 [W] – 224 [T] mm]. It has a TTL Autofocus system. It has no optical viewfinder. LCD pixels accommodate approximately 461,000 dots. Maximum aperture is f/5.9 [T] – f/3.0 [W]. Shutter speed is 1- 1/2000 second with 15 – 1/2000 sec [total shutter speed range].

Light metering methods include center-weighted average, spot and evaluative. White balance control includes tungsten, auto, daylight, fluorescent, cloudy and fluorescent H. Flash Range is 1.6 TBA [W], 50 cm TBA [W], 10 – 50 cm on Macro scene. Telephoto focus range is beyond flash metering range. Recycling time is 10 seconds or less with 3.7 V battery. There is not flash exposure compensation

Shooting modes include fisheye effect, hybrid auto, auto, P, miniature effect, monochrome, soft focus, toy camera effect and super slow motion movie. Self timer allows 2- second delay and 10-second delay. It enables continuous shooting with approximately 2.3 shots per second in P mode. Modes that adapt image effects when shooting still images are auto, P, monochrome and miniature effect. Storage media include microSDHC memory card, microSD memory card and microSDXC memory card. Still images have JPEG format while movies have MOV format [H.264].
